Bluestone, day three: child free time and a wish for a rainbow.

This morning we treated ourselves to some Child free time and booked Annabel into the Shelby snail mini something or other thing which basically meant she got to have some fun with child care experts and other children for three hours and we got to visit the spa. Did feel a bit guilty as we were heading over to drop her off, but she marched in, took her wellies off and started playing with a shopping trolley,   Then said goodbye mummy and goodbye daddy so we felt a bit better leaving her. Another little girl was crying so Annabel took her a Peppa pig to cheer her up which we thought was really sweet.

Spa was good. The highlight was definitely the outdoor hydrotherapy pool. πŸ˜‚ 35 degree heat complemented the Welsh drizzle perfectly.

Annabel was booked into the childcare until 12 but by 11.40 we were bored of each other and missing her too much so we went to pick her up. Then it was back to the apartment for lunch and a nap.

While Annabel was sleeping the Easter bunny came (not really but that's what we told Annabel) and dropped off and an egg and a chocolate bunny for her. Chocolate bunnys have become a bit of a special treat and she likes to remind us randomly that she likes chocolate rabbits.

When Annabel woke up and had eaten her chocolate rabbit we headed off to the activity centre on Cerys (our golf buggy) - we were very thankful for Cerys today as it rained all day!

There was time for a bit of play in the soft play room before the Tawny Tales show.

This show was great fun and enhanced massively by Annabels obsession with the random nemo toys dotted around the room. In fact I think everyone there was pleased with the silences being filled with shouts of "nemo!" "My nemo!"...

At one point the man handed out little tags and asked the children to write wishes on them. Annabel took this very seriously and was concentrating hard as she wrote on her tag. He asked her what she was wishing for and she said "a rainbow". Very wise choice as that would have meant some sunshine!

After the show it was time for tea. Off to the farm house grill where we were greated by Huwie the hedgehog. Annabels mate...

We had a really lovely meal here and Annabel enjoyed playing on the tractors and in the wooden houses which are inside the restaurant.

Back home on Cerys for bath time. That's our three days up. We have to be out by 10am tomorrow but can use the facilities until 3 if we like which is cool, I think we will see how the weather is...

Bluestone second day; a swim, s'mores, soft play and a petal party!

Another fun filled day here in Bluestone! Started the day with a trip to the Blue Lagoon. Multiple trips round the lazy river and an exciting encounter with the wave machine (where mummy almost lost her swimwear!). No pictures from the pool but it was good fun. Daddy went on a slide that was completely dark, he was very happy he got the chance!

After the pool we went to our room to freshen up ready for lunch at Camp Smokey!

I thought it might give us memories of our time in the states, and it was good, but once you've had s'mores with graham crackers and Hershey's chocolate you really can't compare a digestive biscuit and chocolate sauce version... Annabel seemed to like them though.

She also really liked her sausage and asked for another. On the walk to Camp Smokey Annabel was collecting "pine babies" or really small pine cones to you and me. She insisted on carrying these around in a yellow nappy sack all day!

Then it was back to the room for a nap.

The afternoon consisted of soft play - where we met up with another little girl called Annabelle and her mummy and daddy. We've bumped into them a few times and the two Annabels like to say "hello Annabel!" To each other!

Annabel likes to "count" she gets to ten then repeats "fourteen" over and over....

Then it was time for Lola's Petal Party, by far the highlight of the day. We arrived slightly late and the show had already started, Annabel marched straight in, right up to the entertainer on the stage (who was reading a story) and Said "hello!" Then sat down. 😳 I honestly don't know where she gets her confidence...

This was great fun and involved lots of dancing!

Great day, now it's time to relax.

First full day at Bluestone

Wowsers! Such a fun packed day!

Lady A woke at her usual 6am slot so mummy got up and we did some drawing and watched finding Nemo. At 8 daddy also got up and we had a lovely breakfast of toast and grapes.

Then it was time for some swimming! We hopped in the golf buggy for the short drive to the Blue Lagoon! The swimming pool is awesome. There is a special toddler/small kids section, a slightly bigger kids section, a lazy river and a pool complete with a wave machine for the older kids and grown ups. Of course we had to experience eveything - Annabel loved the lazy river and the wave machine!

Then it was back to the village hall for Buzby's pollen party!  A slight mix up meant that Buzby was still asleep so we went to the outdoor play area for a bit to waste some time. This was great fun and the sawdust meant Annabel could run around to her hearts content!

Then it was finally time for Buzby's pollen party! This was great! Annabel had a great time although she really doesn't do sitting and watching quietly choosing instead to walk straight up to the actor and announce herself! "hello!" He took it in his stride though and most people seemed amused rather than annoyed at her antics!

The late start to the show meant we didn't stay until the end as at 12 (usual lunchtime) Annabel announced she wanted to to go home for lunch. So we left.

We had lunch at the apartment and Annabel went for her nap meaning we could relax for a little while!

After lunch we went to the Adventure Centre as we had Lola's secret workshop there at half three. The adventure centre has a great bouncy castle which Annabel loved and a huge wooden structure for climbing on around etc. I think this area was geared towards older children though as we then found a room which was perfect for Annabel. It had some great equipment for tots her age to use and we were happy for her to wonder around in this room with us watchi from a distance.
The secret workshop was a bit too advanced for Annabel so we didn't stick around and instead went back to the circus soft play room.

Then we went to the Farmhouse Grill for a meet and greet, but again unfortunately due to a mix up with the timings there were no characters to meet... The staff at the farmhouse grill were fab though and got us a table to have some tea. Annabel had some macaroni cheese which was lush! And then
Lola Ladybird and Huwie hedgehog (or "her-cock") as Annabel likes to call him, turned up. So all in all it turned out OK! Annabel's new trick is to do "thumbs up!" Which basically involves her pointing her index finger and thumb upwards! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘†πŸ»she showed Huwie this and he gave her a high five.
Blowing kisses to Lola!

Back on the buggy for the drive back to the lodge where we saw some rabbits! A bit of playing and then bath time and bed for Annabel.

Now we're relaxing after a really lovely fun filled day! I wonder what tomorrow will bring!

Getting excited for our trip to Bluestone!

So we're off to Bluestone tomorrow! Woo hoo!
Already showed Annabel some videos about Bluestone and she was very excited! Looking forward to meeting Buzby Bee and Lola Ladybird! Hee hee!
